Tyrimai Biržų mieste

LT2013 m. Biržų senojo miesto vietos (UK 3219) teritorijoje, dviračių ir pėsčiųjų tako vietoje vykdyti archeologiniai žvalgymai ir detalieji tyrimai. 2013 m. darbai vykdyti apie 1800 m ilgio tako ruože, kuris pagal darbų eigą suskirstytas į atkarpas 1−6 bei perkasas 1−2. Palei tako pakraštį iki 70 cm gylio žvalgytos elektros kabelio tranšėjos. Žvalgymai vykdyti palei kairįjį Agluonos upės krantą bei Širvėnos ežero P pakrantėje iki evangelikų reformatų sklypo. Sklypo Š−ŠR dalyse, Širvėnos pakrantėje, apie 78 m ilgio tako ruože iki projektinio gylio atlikti detalieji tyrimai (perkasa 1). Toliau tako vietoje, esamo parko teritorijoje, į R nuo Reformatų gatvės vykdyti žvalgymai. Kitas 46 m ilgio detaliųjų tyrimų plotas buvo į V nuo sklypo J. Bielinio g. 1 (perkasa 2). Toliau žvalgymai vykdyti palei J. Bielinio gatvės P pakraštį ir Apaščios upės pakrantę iki J. Basanavičiaus gatvės. 2013 m. rugsėjį atlikti papildomi tyrimai. Šalia įrengto tako J. Bielinio gatvėje, į P nuo sklypo 1 numatyto nuotekų tinklų vietoje ištirtas šurfas 1 (2 m2 dydžio). Neaptikus vertingo sluoksnio, nuotekų tinklų vietoje žvalgyta 12 m ilgio tranšėja. Taip pat prie tako įvairiose vietose žvalgytos 9 kelio ženklų stulpelių vietos. Taigi iš viso 2013 m. žvalgytas apie 4860 m2 plotas, tirtas apie 510 m2 dydžio plotas. [...] [p. 282].

ENIn 2013, a field survey and excavation were conducted at the site of planned bike and foot paths in Biržai old town. All of the work occurred in a roughly 1800 m long path segment. A 20th century gravelly fill layer with 20th century rubbish was surveyed on the left bank of the river Agluona. Layers with 17th–20th centuries finds and 20th century fill horizons were recorded on the S shore of lake Širvėna. The remains of foundations were discovered. The remains of paving were found beside the plot at Radvilos st. 6. Trench 1 was excavated at the path site in the N part of the present-day Evangelical Reformed plot. Humusrich layers with 17th–20th centuries finds were recorded down to the trench’s planned depth of 30–70 cm. The remains of a 20th century structure were discovered. During the survey, the remains of a 19th–20th centuries structure were discovered in the present-day area to the E of Reformatų street. Trench 2 was excavated at the path site to the W of the plot at J. Bielinio st. 1. Layers with 17th–20th centuries finds were recorded in it. A building foundation was discovered. A paving fragment was recorded closer to the street. 19th–20th centuries paving was unearthed under the asphalt pavement in J. Bielinio street. The remains of 19th–20th centuries structures were discovered to the E of it on the S side of the street. A humus-rich horizon with sparse 19th–20th centuries finds was recorded on the right bank of the river Apaščia.
