J. Basanavičiaus gatvė 9A

LT2014 m. prieš suplanuotus statybos darbus KVP atliko archeologinius tyrimus sklype numatomose grunto judinimo vietose, t. y. suprojektuotos požeminės automobilių stovėjimo aikštelės bei naujai įrengiamų inžinerinių tinklų vietose. Detalieji tyrimai vykdyti 796 m2 plote, o žvalgymai-1500 m2 plote. Iš viso surinkta ir į LNM perduota 3011 vienetų IX a. pr. Kr., XV–XX a. pradžios laikotarpių radinių. Senovės gyvenvietėje rasta lipdytos keramikos-beveik sveikas puodas brūkšniuotu paviršiumi, sudaužytas puodas lygiu paviršiumi, kelios puodo šukės bei titnago skeltė. Likę radiniai datuojami XV–XX a. Didžiąją dalį jų sudaro buitinės keramikos šukės, iš viso jų aptikta 2306 vienetai. Tai XVI–XIX a. būdingi neglazūruoti bei žalia, ruda ar geltona glazūra dengti indai-puodai, puodynės, gertuvės, dubenys, lėkštės, keptuvės, dangteliai ir kt.. Rasta ir importuotų indų fragmentų. Gausiausią jų dalį sudaro vadinamoji Kielcų keramika (67 šukės), taip pat rasta iš akmens masės keramikos pagamintų bokalų, dengtų ruda bei mėlyna glazūra-dvi šukės, Vanli stiliumi dekoruotos lėkštės šukė. Aptikta 499 dubeninių, puodyninių bei plokštinių koklių fragmentai. Paminėtinas XVI a. II ketvirčiu datuojamas plokštinis koklis, puoštas reljefine moters karalienės figūra, laikančia insignijas: skeptrą ir karališkąjį obuolį. Taip pat rasta stiklo, kaulo bei rago dirbinių. Iš metalo dirbinių paminėtini du-sidabrinis bei varinis sutuoktuvių žiedai su dviem suglaustomis plaštakomis, du žvangučiai, šaukšto fragmentas, keletas antpirščių, piniginės apkalai ir kt.. Aptiktos 56 XV–XX a. I pusės monetos, ankstyviausia-sidabrinis Kazimiero Jogailaičio denaras. [...] [p. 374, 380].

ENIn 2014, prior to foreseen construction work on the plot, an investigation was conducted at those places where earthwork is planned. 796 m² were excavated, 1500 m² surveyed. A 1.2–4.4 m thick cultural layer had formed at the investigated locations. Valuable horizons, which were up to 2 m thick and up to 2.7 m at the site of pits, were discovered in the N, NE, and fragmentally in the SE parts of the plot. It was determined that 6 layers dating to the 9th century BC and the second half of the 16th–19th centuries had formed in this area through human activity and natural processes. The remains of a 9th century BC settlement (camp site), i.e. grey soil stains with small pieces of charcoal and isolated small stones were discovered in the N part of the plot. These contained hand built pottery with brushed and smooth surfaces as well as a flint blade. A former topsoil horizon was unearthed above the sterile soil in the NE and fragmentally in the S parts of the plot and above that lay a layer, up to 80 cm thick, of blown or slipped sand. The 4 pits discovered in the N part of the plot should be connected with the pottery production that occurred at this site during the second half of the 16th first half of the 17th century; two contained wasters, the other two were probably dug in order to extract clay raw materials for pottery production.A 2–2.7 m thick 17th century horizon was discovered in the NE part of the plot and contained the remains of a building’s masonry foundation, a rubble layer formed during the building’s demolition, two paving fragments, the remains of a wooden fence, and pits with household waste. A first half of the 19th century fill layer, up to 1 m thick, of dark grey soil with 17th-18th century finds lay above the 17th century horizons in the NE part of the plot. The remains of four masonry foundations from 19th first half of the 20th century buildings were unearthed on the plot. A total of 3011 finds dating to the 9th century BC and the 15th-20th centuries were discovered.
