Polocko gatvė 7

LTVilniaus senojo miesto su priemiesčiais (UK 25504) ir Vilniaus senamiesčio (UK 16073) teritorijoje, sklype Polocko g. 7 atlikti žvalgomieji tyrimai, nes jame numatomi didelės apimties statybos ir remonto darbai, o archeologiniai tyrimai sklype iki šiol nevyko. Numatyta rekonstruoti XIX a. statytą sklypo gilumoje stovintį pastatą, taip pat statyti naujus: atkurti sklypo Š dalyje prie gatvės stovėjusį pastatą bei sklypo R ir PR dalyse vietoje dabar esančių mūrinių pastatų statyti naujus. Tyrimais siekta patikslinti šioje Vilniaus miesto vietoje slūgsančio kultūrinio sluoksnio datavimą, storį, pobūdį, galbūt aptikti ankstesnio užstatymo liekanų, nustatyti, ar sklype esama archeologinių radinių, urbanistinių struktūrų liekanų ar kitokių radinių, kurie galėtų turėti įtakos įgyvendinant rengiamą statybos darbų projektą. Arčiausiai tiriamos vietos 2012 ir 2014 m. archeologiniai tyrimai atlikti greta, į V nuo tiriamojo sklypo esančiame sklype Polocko g. 7A (žr. ATL 2012 metais, V., 2013, p. 461–463; ATL 2014 metais, V., 2015, p. 424–428). Nustatyta, gatvės Vilnios upės link. Žvalgomųjų tyrimų metu ištirti 4 įvairaus dydžio šurfai, iš viso 20,2 m2 plotas. ENThe reconstruction of the existing building and the construction of new buildings are foreseen on the plot at Polocko St. 7 in the historical Vilnius suburb of Užupis. The plot is on a high bank of the river Vilnia and on the old road to Ruthenia. Owing to the work foreseen on this plot, which had yet to be investigated archaeologically, a survey was conducted. Four test pits (a total of 20.2 m2 ) were excavated. From the old historical plans, it is known that a larger number of buildings, which have not survived, used to stand on this plot; their remains were sought during the investigation. No really precise parameters could be determined for the former buildings, but the remains of conjectured 16th(?)-17th century production furnaces were discovered in test pits 1 and 3. These structures had been set into the natural soil; there could be more of them on the plot’s boundaries. The valuable cultural layer horizons on the plot have been heavily damaged or buried under fairly thick, worthless fill layers. The investigation on this Vilnius old town plot is foreseen to continue.
