Polocko gatvė 2

LT2015 m. buvo tęsiami 2014 m. pradėti (žr. ATL 2014 metais, V., 2015, p. 403–408) archeologiniai tyrimai sklype Polocko g. 2 ir jo aplinkoje. Tirta vieta yra Vilniaus senojo miesto vietos su priemiesčiais (UK 25504) ir Vilniaus senamiesčio (UK 16073) teritorijose. 2015 m. detalieji tyrimai atlikti 304 m2 plote, žvalgymai-1564 m2 plote. Detalieji tyrimai sklypo Polocko g. 2 dalyje prie Krivių gatvės 2015 m. vyko greta 2014 m. tirtų vietų, o įgilintų objektų vietose-ir 2014 m. tirtose perkasų vietose. Nugriovus tarybiniu laikotarpiu statytus mūrinius statinius, 2015 m. čia tirtos perkasos 6B ir 6C, baigti tirti į įžemį įgilinti objektai, 2014 m. aptikti perkasose 6 ir 6A: gamybinės krosnies liekanos ir šulinio vieta. Sklypo dalyje prie Krivių gatvės tirtas 200 m2 bendro dydžio plotas. Čia kultūrinis sluoksnis yra 1,2–1,75 m storio, į įžemį įgilintų struktūrų vietose jis yra gerokai didesnis, šulinio vietoje yra apie 7 m storio. Kultūrinis sluoksnis, pagal 2014–2015 m. atliktų tyrimų duomenis, datuojamas (XIV?) XV–XX a. 2015 m. vykusių archeologinių tyrimų metu bene daugiausia naujos informacijos apie sklypo dalyje prie Krivių gatvės slūgsantį kultūrinį sluoksnį ir jame esančias archeologines struktūras suteikė sklypo Polocko g. 2 ŠR dalies-perkasos 6C tyrimas. Po viršutiniais XIX–XX a. II pusėje suformuotais kultūrinio sluoksnio horizontais didelėje šios perkasos dalyje tirta apie 50 cm storio XVII–XVIII a. datuojama viršutinė archeologinio sluoksnio dalis-tamsiai pilka žemė su smėlio priemaiša. Jame aptikta XVI–XVIII a. datuojamų archeologinių radinių, daugiausia buitinės keramikos ir koklių fragmentų. [...] [p. 324].

ENIn 2015, the investigation, begun in 2014, on and beside the plot at Polocko st. 2 in the historic Vilnius suburb of Užupis was continued. After the demolition of the valueless Soviet era buildings, 304 m2 were excavated. The investigation’s results supplemented the facts, established during the 2014 investigation, about the development of this part of Vilnius. The investigation in the N part of the plot on Krivių street yielded perhaps the largest number of new facts. The site of a wooden well created, it is thought, in the 18th century, was excavated there. Three burials of individuals who probably died in the mid 17th century during the war with Moscow were discovered. The remains of a late 16th century wooden building, which was connected with the pottery production that occurred at this site, were found. It is interesting that the building does not have right-angled corners and was probably a trapezium. The remains of kiln from this period were also unearthed. Owing to later production activities, the kiln had been partially demolished, which made its structure difficult to determine. It is interesting that millstones had been used to create the steps leading to the kiln’s firebox. An arrowhead discovered during the investigation is indirect evidence of the battles in Vilnius that were waged with the Teutonic Knights and their allies. Some of the wooden structures, the remains of which had survived in the natural sand, should perhaps also be connected with this period.
