Žvalgomieji tyrimai Šventosios senovės gyvenvietėje

LT2015 m. vykdyti archeologiniai žvalgomieji tyrimai Šventosios senovės gyvenvietėje (UK 1813), Mokyklos g. 85 ir galimoms inžinerinėms komunikacijoms numatomame plote, į V nuo jo, taip pat Monciškės g. 11 sklype. Šiuose sklypuose ar jų aplinkoje įvairaus pobūdžio archeologiniai tyrimai vykdyti ir anksčiau. 2015 m. žvalgomųjų tyrimų metu iš viso buvo ištirtas 276 m2 plotas (1 žvalgomoji perkasa ir 65 šurfai), atlikta 14 GPR profilių (1961,28 m), išgręžti 35 gręžiniai, atlikta 1,4 ha ploto magnetometrinė žvalgyba, 1,27 ha plote vykdyti sistemingi suarto paviršiaus žvalgymai. Nustatyta, kad Šventosios 2 radimvietėje neolito laikotarpio archeologinis sluoksnis su puikiai išlikusiais organinės kilmės radiniais aptinkamas ne tik ŠV, bet ir jo PR dalyje. Šventosios senovės gyvenvietės centrinėje ir Š dalyse rasta žvejybos vietoms būdingų radinių (Šventosios 54 ir 57 radimvietės). Tyrimų metu rasti viduriniu ir vėlyvuoju neolitu datuojami medžio, keramikos, titnago, akmens ir kt. radiniai perduoti LNM. [...] [p. 47, 53].

ENIn 2015, an evaluation was conducted at Šventoji old settlement: on the plot at Mokyklos st. 85 and in the area planned for possible utility lines to the W of it as well as on the plot at Monciškės st. 11. During the investigation, a total of 276 m2 were excavated (1 trial trench and 65 test pits), 14 GPR profiles were made (1961.28 m), 35 boreholes drilled, 1.40 ha was surveyed using a magnetometer, and systematic fieldwalking was conducted on 1.27 ha of ploughed land. It was determined that at the Šventoji 2 find spot, a neolithic archaeological layer with well preserved organic finds exists not only in the NW part but also the SE part. Finds characteristic of places with fishing (Šventoji 54 and 57 find spots) were found in the central and N parts of Šventoji old settlement. The middle and late neolithic wooden, pottery, flint, stone, and other finds discovered during the investigation were given to the LNM.
