ENThe author of the article focuses on Jewish Vilnius in the works of Czesław Miłosz. First, he points out, supporting it with examples, that both Vilnius and the Jewish themes are strongly emphasized in the writings of the Nobel Prize winner. The situation is somewhat different in the case of combining these two thematic spaces, i.e., the Jewish part of Vilnius. Paradoxically, although the city where the poet spent his youth is a heavily exploited topic in his lyrical and essayistic works, Vilnius as the Jerusalem of the North is almost absent in poetry. The situation is slightly different in the non-lyrical texts. In this field, the difference in the accentuation of the Jewish element of Vilnius results mainly from the form of literary expression. Keywords: Czesław Miłosz, Jerusalem, Jewish Vilnius, works, poetry. [From the publication]
