Kęstučio aikštė ir Pilies kalno parkas

LT2016 m. atlikti žvalgomieji tyrimai Ukmergės senamiesčio (UK 17116) ir Ukmergės senojo miesto vietos (UK 2990) teritorijoje. Tyrimai skirstyti į 3 etapus pagal tyrimų vietas: Draugystės skveras priešais UkKM, Kęstučio aikštė priešais Ukmergės savivaldybę ir Pilies kalno parkas už savivaldybės. Iš viso ištirtas 97,82 m2 plotas. Nors tyrimų metu buvo ieškoma pastatų liekanų, užstatymas aptiktas tik perkasos 1 vietoje-pastatas datuojamas XIX–XX a. sandūra. Stulpaviečių rasta perkasose 3–4, 7. ENIn 2016, 97.82 m2 were excavated during an evaluation in Ukmergė old town. 10.32 m2 were excavated in Draugystės square but no archaeologically valuable finds or cultural layer was found. 20 m2 were excavated in Kęstučio square where an 18th–19th century cultural layer and a storage pit, which was dated on the basis of the finds to the late 17th–18th century, was discovered in trench 1. Soviet military burials, which had been disturbed during their exhumation in the 1970s, were discovered in trench 2. A geophysical survey was conducted in 5428 m2 in Castle Hill Park. 63 m2 were excavated at the sites of anomalies recorded during the survey. Although the remains of buildings were sought during the investigation, a structure was discovered only at the site of trench 1: a building from the turn of the 20th century. Postholes were discovered in trenches 3, 4, and 7, a valuable cultural layer in trenches 4, 5, and 7.
