Skongalio gatvė

LT2016 m. spalio mėnesį Kėdainių mieste, Skongalio gatvės P dalyje, rekonstruojamos gatvės atkarpoje atlikti žvalgomieji tyrimai, planuojamos rekonstruoti Skongalio gatvės atkarpoje ištirti 5 1x1 m dydžio šurfai (iš viso 5 m2 ). 1604 m. Kėdainių inventoriuje minimi 56 sklypai (47 namai), buvę Skongalio skersgatvyje. Pagal 1624 m. inventorių Skongalio gatvėje buvo 26 sklypai (21 namas), o Skongalio skersgatvyje-24. XVII a. apsaugai nuo pavasario potvynių, kurie užliedavo žemesnes teritorijas, dažniausiai Skongalio gatvėje, buvo įrengta krantinė tarp Smilgos žiočių ir Skongalio gatvės. [...] [p. 299-300].

ENIn 2016, an evaluation (five 1 x 1 test pits) was conducted in a section of the S part of Skongalio street (Kėdainiai) that is being reconstructed. An archaeologically valuable cultural layer was discovered only in test pits 1 and 2 in the NE part of the street segment: a mixed, 50 cm thick, 17th–19th century one in test pit 1 and a 55–85 cm thick, mid second half of the 17th century one in test pit 2. In test pit 1, only the lower, 10 cm thick, mid second half of the 17th century cultural layer horizon, which contained paving that had survived fragmentally and contemporary finds, was clearly distinguishable. In test pit 2, a fragment of a foundation from a later, 18th–19th century structure was also found.
