Kuzmos gatvė 4

LTDetalieji archeologiniai tyrimai prie pastato V. Kuzmos g. 4 atlikti 2016 m. gegužės mėnesį. Tyrimai vyko prie pastato V ir Š sienos, kur buvo iškastos 3 1 m pločio, 2 m gylio perkasos (bendras 20 m2 plotas). Tyrinėtas pastatas yra centrinėje Kauno senamiesčio dalyje, prie Rotušės aikštės esančio 12 kvartalo ŠR dalyje. Tiek Rotušės aikštė, tiek ją supantys kvartalai suplanuoti ir išmatuoti XV a., o 12 kvartalas buvo suskirstytas į 6 posesijas, orientuotas R–V kryptimi. [...] [p. 289].

ENDuring a 2016 excavation, three trenches (a total of 20 m2 ) were excavated near the NW corner of the building at V. Kuzmos st. 4. 15th–19th century cultural layers had survived intact only in trench 1, where they are 1.95–2 m thick. In trench 2, the oldest cultural layers were disturbed during the construction of an underground hypocaust in the 17th century. The cultural layers in trench 3 were disturbed through the digging of pits with no clear purpose in the 19th–20th century. The remains of the 5.21 m long W part of the 17th century underground hypocaust and the remnants of an old fence were found in trench 2. The finds consist of sherds of 15th–19th century vessel and panel stove tiles characteristic of Kaunas old town and various household pottery.
