Kumelių gatvė 6

LT2016 m. UAB "Teisinga orbita" atliko detaliuosius tyrimus ir žvalgymus Kauno senamiesčio (UK 20171) teritorijos sklype Kumelių g. 6 esančio rūsio (UK 32904) aplinkoje. Istorijos ir archeologijos duomenys rodo, kad senamiesčio 41 kvartalas, kuriame vykdyti tyrimai, apgyvendintas XV–XVI a. Kvartalas patenka į pirminio planuoto miesto ribas, yra ŠR jo dalyje. XVI a. čia jau būta mūrinių pastatų, vienas kurių-mūrinis svirnas Kumelių g. 6, jo išliko tik rūsys. Jo vietoje XX a. 7 dešimtmetyje pastatytas namas, po juo esantis gotikinis rūsys restauruotas. Vėlesnio rūsio esama po namo V dalimi. Tarybinį pastatą numatoma griauti, o jo vietoje ir teritorijoje į R nuo jo, "apgaubiant" esamą rūsį, statyti naują namą. 2016 m. detaliaisiais tyrimais ištirti 4 šurfai ir 3 perkasos (bendras 217,5 m2 plotas), papildomai žvalgyta apie 40 m2 dydžio teritorija. Konstatuota, kad didesnėje dalyje šurfų ir perkasų tarybiniu laikotarpiu kultūrinis sluoksnis stipriai apardytas ar visiškai suardytas statant namą ir vėliau. [...] [p. 270-271].

ENIn 2016, an excavation was conducted on the plot at Kumelių st. 6, in Kaunas old town: 215.5 m2 were excavated and 40 m2 surveyed. After discovering that the cultural layer had been severely disturbed or destroyed in the greater part of the test pits and trenches, it was determined that the cultural layer would be removed during the construction work, leaving untouched the lower 10–40 cm thick horizon, fragments of which were recorded in almost all of the excavated areas. The investigation yielded a relatively small quantity of finds, the earliest of which dated to the 17th century. Two encrusted rings, one of which was gilt with glass or ruby settings, a fragment of a faience mug, and five 17th–18th century coins should be noted. The earliest cultural layer horizon dated to the late 16th early 17th century.
