Kalniškės piliakalnis su gyvenviete

LTKalniškės (Gargždų, Anielino) piliakalnio ir papėdės gyvenvietės kompleksas yra į ŠR nuo Gargždų miesto (Klaipėdos r.). Jis tyrinėtas 1998 (ATL 1998 ir 1999 metais, 2000, p. 127– 128) ir 2014–2015 m. (ATL 2014 metais, 2015, p. 80–85; ATL 2015 metais, 2016, p. 127–130). 2016 m. rengiant piliakalnio tvarkymo ir pritaikymo lankymui antrojo etapo techninį projektą, priešprojektinėje stadijoje buvo atlikti žvalgomieji tyrimai ir žvalgymai. Projektuojamų naujų takų vietose kas 50 m arba priklausomai nuo reljefo buvo tiriami 1x1 m dydžio šurfai (iš viso 10), planuojamos automobilių stovėjimo aikštelės vietoje ištirti trys 2x1 m dydžio šurfai. ENIn 2016, a field evaluation and excavation were conducted in organising a technical project for the second stage in the landscaping and adaptation for tourism of Kalniškė (Gargždai, Anielinas) Hillfort (Klaipėda district). 13 test pits (a total of 16 m2 ) were excavated: ten at the site of planned new paths and three at the site of a planned carpark. Surveys were conducted in roughly 630 m2 in the vicinity of the hillfort’s eroding S and SW slopes. Burnt fieldstones and pieces of clay daub were found. A valuable cultural layer or structure was discovered only in test pits 6, 7, 12, and 13. Only the partly thrown potsherd with wavy decoration that was found in test pit 6 was dated more precisely (to the 9th–12th centuries).
