Vokiečių karių kapavietė Dainiškėse

LT2017 m. Dainiškėse (Šalčininkų r.) vyko II Pasaulinio karo vokiečių kapų ekshumavimo darbai. Informacijos apie kapavietę suteikė Mažųjų Sėlų kaimo gyventoja Genoefa Suckiel, g. 1939 m. Kapavietė yra apie 500 m į R nuo Dainiškių kaimo, dirbamų laukų ir Trobonių miško paribyje, lauko keliuko Dainiškės–Čiužakampis P pusėje. Palaidojimo vieta apie 25 m nutolusi į P nuo šio kelio. Prieš pradedant tyrimus, nuo nežymaus kauburėlio ties kapą žyminčiu metaliniu kryžiumi nuvalytas samanų sluoksnis ir lapai. Po jais atidengtas kadaise kapą žymėjęs vietinių gyventojų įrengtas akmenų apvadas. Prie pat kryžiaus po samanomis rastos kelios kapų žvakės, vienas stikliukas ir dirbtinių gėlių skiaučių. Kauburėlio vietoje atidengta 5x2 m dydžio perkasa. Palaikai bus perlaidojami Vilniaus Vingio parko karių kapinėse. Kapuose aptiktos negausios ir prastai išlikusios aprangos liekanos bus perlaidotos kartu su palaikais. Identifikacinis žetonas ir metalinis kryželis bus perduoti VDK. [...] [p. 601-604].

ENIn 2017, the exhumation of the Second World War burial site of two German soldiers was conducted near Dainiškės village (Šalčininkai district, South Lithuania). A 10.8 m2 trench was excavated and the remains of the two soldiers removed. They had died in 1944 after being surprised by NKVD soldiers. The inhabitants had buried them and marked the burial site with an iron cross. The remains were discovered right by the cross. The soldiers had been buried at a depth of 90 cm in a 9 x 1.25 m pit. A few uniform remnants were encountered. A metal cross and half a military identification tag were found near individual 2. From this, it was possible to determine that at least one of the soldiers belonged to a motorised infantry unit. Four gunshot injuries from the rear were recorded on the bones of individual 1 and three on the bones of individual 2. Individual 1 had probably been shot in the head, while one of the injuries of individual 2 was in the area of the left pelvis. The locations and direction of the recorded injuries could correlate with the information supplied by the inhabitants about the circumstances of the soldiers’ deaths. The gravesite had been later disturbed through the digging up of the upper part of the skeleton of individual 2. The exhumed remains will be reburied in Vingis Park military cemetery in Vilnius.
