M. K. Čiurlionio gatvė 30

LT2017 m. atlikti žvalgomieji, o vėliau ir detalieji archeologiniai tyrimai M. K. Čiurlionio g. 30 Vilniuje. Sklypas yra Jovaro, Pohuliankos kolonijos pastatų komplekso (UK 30980) teritorijose. Šiame sklype buvo numatyta atlikti su statybomis susijusius žemės kasimo darbus: buvo suprojektuotas naujas esamo pastato priestatas, planuota iškelti senus ir įrengti naujus požeminius inžinerinius tinklus. Sklypo plotas yra 390 m2 , 140 m2 jo dalis yra užstatyta. Žvalgomųjų tyrimų metu ištirti du 2x1 m dydžio šurfai. Tyrimai sklype M. K. Čiurlionio g. 30 suteikė naujų duomenų šios Vilniaus dalies pažinimui. Ateityje reiktų atlikti nuoseklesnius tyrimus ir kituose prie šios dabartiniame Vilniaus Naujamiestyje esančios gatvės sklypuose, galbūt tikslinga ieškoti XVII–XVIII a. šioje vietoje buvusių įtvirtinimų liekanų. ENAn investigation was conducted in 2017 prior to the commencement of construction work on the plot at M. K. Čiurlionio St. 30 in present day Vilnius Naujamiestis. During it, a 4 m2 and a 15 m2 area were excavated and 83 m2 were surveyed. It was known from Von Fürstenhoff ’s 1737–1740 plan of Vilnius that lines of arrow-headed bastion fortifications and ditches existed in the region of present day M. K. Čiurlionio Street. The fortifications on the S side probably protected not only the road to present-day Vingis park, where a Jesuit residence with a palace existed from the late 16th late 18th century at the site of an earlier Radvila manor, but also the suburb of Lukiškės. Prior to commencing the investigation it was thought the remains of these 1654 fortifications could also lie on the grounds of the plot to be investigated. In conducting the investigation, it was established that the remains of E–W ditches dug down to natural sand existed on the plot. These, based on their direction, relationship with earliest cultural layer horizon, and other signs, should be connected with the aforesaid fortifications.
