Alsėdžių dvaro tvenkinio žvalgymai 2016 m

LT2016 m. birželio-rugpjūčio mėnesiais buvo vykdomi archeologiniai žvalgymai Alsėdžių miestelyje (Plungės r., Alsėdžių sen.), Draugystės g. 6B, inicijuoti dėl čia esančio tvenkinio valymo darbų. Žvalgomas tvenkinys patenka į Žemaičių vyskupų rezidencinio Alsėdžių dvaro prieigas, kuriose šiuo metu stovi dabartinės gimnazijos ir 1975 m. pastatyto bendrabučio pastatai. Iš istorinių duomenų yra žinoma, kad aktyvesnį miestelio vystymąsi lėmė 1463– 1471 m. Žemaičių vyskupo Motiejaus II Topoliečio įsteigtas dvaras, iki XIX a. vidurio tapęs nuolatine vyskupų rezidencija. Žvalgymų metu surinkta medžiaga rodytų, kad tvenkinyje radiniai koncentravosi jo PR dalyje. Dauguma jų aptikti priekrantėms būdingame smėlyje. Atrodytų, kad būtent šioje dalyje, arčiau kelių sankirtos, miestelėnai atsikratydavo buities atliekų. Dauguma jų iš XVII a. II pusės-XIX a. laikotarpio. Iš XX a. radinių atrinkti tik pavieniai pavyzdžiai. Šiuolaikinių šiukšlių tvenkinyje rasta labai mažai. Iš viso žvalgymų metu dokumentuoti 153 radiniai, kurie perduoti Plungės Žemaičių dailės muziejui. [...] [p. 224, 227].

ENIn 2016, a field survey was conducted in a 50 x 15 m area near Alsėdžiai manor, the residence of the bishop of Samogitia in the town of Alsėdžiai (Plungė district, West Lithuania). Various 17th-19th century finds were collected in the pond’s silt and the sand of its SE slope. An armorial stove tile with a fragment of the date, 1670, which is ascribable to Bishop Kazimieras Pacas of Samogitia, should be mentioned. Sherds of 17th-18th century unglazed pots with coarse temper were likewise found in the pond. The finds discovered in the greatest numbers were 19th century vessels with interior glazing (After reassembly, the sizes and shapes of at least five pots were reconstructed.), pieces of a faience cup and plate from the late 19th early 20th century, handmade glass bottles, and a wine glass from the late 18th second half of the 19th century. One four-sided bottle fragment, characteristic of the 17th century, was encountered beside them. Other finds have a less clear chronology: a copper alloy bowl with handles, a carved wooden board, and pieces of slag. In all, 153 finds were documented.
