ENThe focus of this article is the history and culture of East Prussia, which constantly ap- pears in Lithuanian contemporary literature due to the fact that its authors feel a bond with this region, and historical events in former East Prussia continue to widely reso- nate today. A discussion of the prose works of Ieva Simonaitytė, Astrida Petraitytė, Edita Barauskienė, Rokas Flick and Alvydas Šlepikas shows that the relations of Lith- uanians with the fate of historic East Prussia have deep roots and constitute an impor- tant part of collective memory.
