Alksnynės neolito ir bronzos amžiaus gyvenvietės

LT2012 ir 2016 m. Alksnynėje buvo aptiktos 3 neolito radimvietės, iš kurių 3-ioji tyrinėta plačiau (LA, 2013, t. 39, p. 255–284; ATL 2016 metais, 2017, p. 37–41). 2017 m., įgyvendinant Lietuvos mokslo tarybos finansuojamą projektą "Pirmieji indoeuropiečiai Lietuvoje. Virvelinės keramikos kultūra 2900–2400 m. pr. Kr." (LIP–011/2016), vykdyti žvalgomieji tyrimai Alksnynėje. Jų metu surastos 6 naujos akmens ir bronzos amžių radimvietės. Tarp Alksnynės radimviečių 2 ir 3 gręžiniais ir kasiniais ieškota neišpustyto archeologinio sluoksnio. 350 m ilgio ir apie 60 m pločio (apie 1,8 ha) juostoje Didžiojo kopagūbrio V papėdėje padaryti 245 gręžiniai iki 1,35–3 m gylio. Gręžiniuose aptikus senuosius dirvožemius primenančius sluoksnius, jų vietose kasti kvadratiniai kasiniai 30–40 cm kraštinėmis, o senieji dirvožemiai sijoti per 6 mm akies sietus. ENIn 2016, in executing the "First Indo-Europeans in Lithuania. Corded Ware Culture, 2900– 2400 cal bc’ (LIP–011/2016) project financed by the Research Council of Lithuania, field evaluations were conducted at Alksnynė on the Curonian Spit. A 9 km long ploughed fire lane was fieldwalked, 245 boreholes drilled to a depth of 1.35–3 m, 24 40x40 cm shovel test pits dug, and three 1x1 m test pits and two 10 m2 trenches excavated. Six new neolithic and bronze age find spots were discovered, the majority of which are ascribable to the Corded Ware culture. At some of the neolithic and bronze age find spots discovered in Alksnynė, an archaeological layer, which has not been disturbed by aeolian processes and contains animal bones, has survived. The material at the find spots appears to have accumulated over a brief period and thus is very promising for further research and may be able to assist in learning about the development of the culture and economy on the Curonian Spit and about the structure of the settlements.
