Žvalgomieji tyrimai Šventosios gyvenvietėje

LT2017 m. Šventosios senovės gyvenvietėje (UK 1813), 2 ha dydžio plote, Sėlių g. 12, 14, 15, 19, Sergiškių g. 19, 22, 24, Žiemgalos g. 24, Palangos mieste, atlikti žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai, nes ateityje čia planuojama statyti gyvenamuosius namus ir tiesti gatves. Žvalgomųjų tyrimų metu šurfuose aptikta 17 titnaginių radinių, 4 akmeniniai pasvarai, 9 gintariniai dirbiniai, kaulinio dirbinio ašmenų fragmentas, gyvūnų kaulų. [...] [p. 29-30].

ENIn 2017, an evaluation (194 test pits totalling 200 m²) was conducted at Šventoji Ancient Settlement. A 25–70 cm thick layer of topsoil: grey peaty sand was discovered throughout the evaluated area. Flint finds, amber flakes, stone net weights, and animal bones were found in the topsoil in the test pits. The finds date to the 4th–3rd millennia bc. After the test pitting had been completed, the area was ploughed where possible and systematically fieldwalked, which yielded isolated flint and amber finds.
