Žingių senovės gyvenvietė

LT2017 m. spalį Žingių kaime (Vilniaus r., Sužionių sen.), planuojamos įrengti poilsiavietės vietoje buvo atlikti archeologiniai tyrimai. Tirta teritorija yra prie Žingių protakos, kuri jungia Asvejos ežero R ir V dalis. Į R nuo tyrimų vietos, kalvelėje yra Žingių pilkapynas (UK 5653). Tirtoje teritorijoje anksčiau tyrimai nebuvo atlikti, tyrinėtas ir žvalgytas tik Žingių pilkapynas.Tyrimų metu apie 3500 m2 teritorijoje ištirta 40 1x1 m dydžio šurfų. Šurfuose 11–20, 22, 23 ir 27 aptikta senovės gyvenvietė, buvusi šalia Asvejos ežero protakos esančioje nedidelėje terasoje. Pagal titnago radinius gyvenvietė datuojama mezolitu–neolitu. ENIn Žingiai village (Vilnius District, East Lithuania), a field evaluation was conducted in 2017 near the Žingiai channel, which joins the E and W parts of Lake Asveja. 40 1 x 1 m test pits (a total of 40m2 ) were excavated in roughly 3500 m2 . An ancient settlement, which existed on a small terrace beside the Lake Asveja channel, was discovered in test pits 11–20, 22, 23, and 27. Based on the discovered flint finds, the settlement dates to the Mesolithic–Neolithic. Flint finds were discovered in the surface layer of topsoil as well as on the surface of the natural light brown sand (at a depth of about 15–30 cm). Washed out finds: eight flint artefacts, including three blades and five flakes, were found in the vicinity of test pits 11, 12, 15, and 16, where the ground’s surface has been affected by erosion and visitors. The blades consist of two proximal ends and one long blade, from which a tool, a knife-scraper had been manufactured. Based on the technological features and the patina criteria, the flint finds can be dated to the Mesolithic– Neolithic. A late (?) 18th–20th-century cultural layer with finds was discovered in the central and N parts of the evaluated area (test pits 11–37).
