Summary / Abstract:

LT2019 m. atlikti detalieji tyrimai bei žvalgymai rekonstruojamos šiluminės trasos vietose Vilniuje, Maironio ir Kūdrų gatvių aplinkoje. Renovuojamos trasos įrengimo metu 1985 m. buvo atlikti tyrimai – fiksuoti supiltiniai arba suardyti kultūriniai sluoksniai, rasta XVI– XVII a. radinių (LIIR, f. 1, b. 1442). Centrinėje fiksuotos trasos dalyje nuo 1–1,5 m gylio atidengtas iki 1,45 m storio kultūrinis sluoksnis, datuojamas XVI a. II puse – XVII a. II puse. Taip pat aptiktas miesto atliekų sąvartynas, datuojamas XVI–XVII a., kuriame surasta daug buitinės keramikos radinių. Trasos V dalyje kultūrinis sluoksnis suardytas įvairių stambaus masto žemės kasimo darbų metu. 1988 m. vykdyti tyrimai įrengiant šiluminius tinklus Maironio gatvės aplinkoje (LIIR, f. 1, b. 1366). Fiksuotas iki 2,4 m storio XVI–XVIII a. kultūrinis sluoksnis, atidengta miesto gynybinės sienos dalis. 2002 m. Kūdrų gatvėje ištirtas 31 m2 plotas (ATL 2002 metais, 2003, p. 247–249). ENIn 2019, 3 utility trenches (a total of 224.1 m2) were monitored and 3 trenches (a total of 399.2 m2) excavated in the vicinity of Maironio and Kūdrų Streets in Vilnius. The remains of a second half of the 19th-century wooden structure, which is probably connected with the Vilnia canal, which once existed nearby, were unearthed at a depth of 3.3–3.5 m in the area to the N of Onos Šimaitės Street and to the W of Maironio Street. Above it lay late 19th – early 20th-century black soil and above that a 20th-century fill layer. Silt sterile soil was reached at a depth of 4 m in the E part of Maironio Street. Above it lay damp, dark grey soil with seams of wood, peat, and alluvial sand and 16th-century finds, followed by a 20 cm thick layer of grey soil with wood but without finds, which had probably been created for drainage purposes, and a late 16th–17th-century horizon. Atop this was late 18th-century fieldstone paving and a wooden building with brick floors. This building burnt in the mid – second half of the 19th century and a new structure was erected on the former paving and brick floor in the second half of the 19th century and demolished in the 20th century. A 19th–20th-century fill layer up to 1.3–2 m thick, which was created during the renovation – elevation of the quay, lay further E. Below it, down to the planned depth of 2.4– 2.7 m, lay damp black peaty soil with 17th – early 20th-century finds. The investigation inventoried 497 finds, mostly 16th–18th-century household pottery sherds and structural ceramics fragments.
