Asvejos ežero ties senuoju Dubingių tiltu tyrimai

LT2020 m. povandeninių archeologinių žvalgymų Asvejos ežere (Dubingių piliavietės (UK 5361), Dubingių tilto (UK 4492) teritorijose (Molėtų r., Dubingių sen.)) metu 8–9 m gylyje ežero povandeniniame šlaite aptikta žmogaus kaulų ir metalinių dirbinių. Radinius metalo detektoriumi užfiksavo narai G. Krakauskas ir A. Matiukas, dalyvavę povandeniniuose žvalgymuose. 2020 m. povandeniniai žvalgomieji tyrimai atlikti siekiant ištirti radimvietę, formuojant žvalgomąją perkasą nustatyti, ar šioje vietoje yra archeologinių struktūrų, objektų, surinkti archeologiškai vertingus radinius, inventorizuoti struktūras ir nustatyti jų vertę. Asvejos ežere, Dubingių tilto aplinkoje povandeniniai archeologiniai žvalgymai vykdyti 1998–1999 m. Jų metu surasta istoriniuose šaltiniuose minimo tilto liekanų tarp piliavietės PV kranto ir Asvejos ežero R kranto, šalia dabartinio tilto (ATL 1998 ir 1999 metais, 2000, p. 556–557). 2019 m. žvalgant šią teritoriją fiksuotos senojo Dubingių tilto medinių polių liekanos ir horizontalios medinės tilto konstrukcinės detalės. Žvalgant šią teritoriją taip pat surasta keliolika XVI–XX a. radinių (ATL 2019 metais, 2020, p. 493–495). [...] [p. 653].

ENIn 2020, an underwater archaeological excavation at the location of the old Dubingiai bridge at Lake Asveja (Molėtai district in Eastern Lithuania) recovered the remains of a warrior from the beginning of the Early Modern Period. The remains date from the end of the 15th century to the 16th century, as evidenced by the archaeological finds (a sword, knives, and leather boots with spurs) and the 14C dates. The case of human remains of archaeological significance having been found with personal effects outside of a burial context is truly unique, and the first of its kind in Lithuania. The excavation area below the body revealed the bulky wooden structures of the former bridge and a faint cultural layer formed during the period of the construction and use of the old bridge of Lake Asveja. The layer contained a cylindrical lock, domestic pottery sherds, and a stir-up, all dating to the 14th–16th centuries.
