LTM. Römeris tapo Nuolatinio Tarptautinio Teisingumo Teismo teisėju ad hoc Klaipėdos krašto statuto aiškinimo byloje. Šiai bylai nagrinėti jis skyrė nemažai dėmesio. Dienoraščiuose teisininkas atskleidžia ne tik bylos nagrinėjimo detales, bet ir savo vidinius išgyvenimus dėl bylos baigties, dėl to, kokios įtakos ji turės tolesniems Didžiosios Lietuvos ir Klaipėdos krašto teisiniams santykiams. ENM. Römeris became an ad hoc judge of the Permanent Court of International Justice in the case of interpretation of the Statute of the Memel Territory. He devoted a lot of pages to this case in his diaries. In them, the lawyer reveals not only the details of the trial, but also his inner experiences regarding the outcome of the case and its influence on the further legal relations between Greater Lithuania and the Memel Territory. Due to the abundance of material, this study consists of a cycle of four articles: „The Origin of the Case and Preparation for the Court“; “In the Permanent Court of International Justice“; „In the Permanent Court of International Justice: Is it Possible to Remove from the Office the President of the Directorate?“; In the Permanent Court of International Justice: Decision“, “After Returning to Lithuania“, “The Court and Judges”. The whole series is called “Case of Interpretation of the Statute of the Memel Territory in the Diaries of M. Römeris“. In this article, we present the echoes of the decision made in the case of the interpretation of the Statute of the Memel Territory in Lithuania and abroad and M. Römer‘s activities, implementing the theses of the Permanent Court of International Justice decision in Lithuanian legal order. Key words: diaries of M.
