Basanavičiaus gatvė 10

LT2020 m. atlikti detalieji tyrimai Vilniaus senamiesčio (16073) teritorijoje, sklype J. Basanavičiaus g. 10. Sklypas yra už Vilniaus miesto gynybinės sienos, į V nuo Trakų vartų. Ankstyvuosiuose Vilniaus miesto planuose sklypo teritorijoje užstatymas nežymimas (1737 m. Vilniaus miesto planas, apie 1784–1790 m. Vilniaus miesto ir apylinkių planas, 1793 m. Vilniaus miesto ir priemiesčių planas, 1797 m. Vilniaus miesto ir priemiesčių planas). Remiantis istoriniais duomenimis, XVIII a. už Trakų vartų dominikonai turėjo didelį sklypą, kuriame vienuolyno lėšomis buvo pastatę dvarelį, o sklypas, esantis priešais (tikėtina, ir sklypas J. Basanavičiaus g. 10), gautas 1724 m. iš tėvų pranciškonų. XIX a. sklypas naudotas žemės ūkio reikmėms, o XX a. jame stovėjo mediniai sandėliai. [...] [p. 503].

ENIn 2020, an excavation (areas 1–9, totalling 2659.2 m2) was conducted on the plot at J. Basanavičiaus St. 10 in Vilnius Old Town. The investigation in the N part of the plot revealed building remnants: masonry structure fragment M–1, wooden structure fragment S–1, and 4 objects (1–4): household waste pits (Fig. 4) and a well (?) dating to the late 16th – first half of the 18th centuries while the contemporaneous archaeological layer had survived fragmentally only inside the building and in its vicinity. In the central and NE part of the plot, a layer of mixed sand had survived fragmentally in the relief ’s former depressions and contained isolated 16th–17th-century and 19th–21st-century finds. A 0.2–3.2 m thick, 19th–21st-century cultural layer as well as contemporaneous rubbish pits, digging, and structures were recorded everywhere in the plot. The excavation collected and catalogued 3669 finds (household pottery, stove tiles, glass and metal artefacts, and animal bones).
