Šildymo įrenginiai Biržų pilies rūmuose

LTIki restauracijos Biržų pilyje stovėjo vienas rūmų fasadas, visa centrinė rūmų dalis, taip pat kai kurios dešiniojo rizalito sienos. Autentiškuose mūruose greta kitų architektūrinių elementų išliko ir židiniai, krosnių pakuros ar jų pėdsakai. Kasinėjimų metu surasta daug įvairių spalvinių derinių koklių. Rūmai atstatyti 1978-1987 m. Pirmoji atstatyta krosnis turėtų pademonstruoti ne tik savo architektūrą ir meninį vaizdą, bet ir XVII a. antrosios pusės krosnies konstrukciją, veikimo būdą. Sumanyta bent retkarčiais rūmų lankytojams bei svečiams tai parodyti. Rūmai, kokius šiandien matome, statyti 16621669 metais. Statant rūmus jau buvo sumanyta ir rūmų šildymo įrenginių sistema - numatyta, kur stovės krosnys, kur bus židiniai, kuriose sienose bus dūmų kanalai. Pirmąsias krosnis galėjo būti pastatęs dar Boguslavas Radvila. 1669 metais mirus Boguslavui Radvilai, rūmai liko nebaigti [p.58].

ENThe castle was built in 1662-1669. Then the system of heating installation was already planned: the place of the stoves, fireplaces and smoke channels in the walls. After the death of Boguslavas Radvila in 1669 the work stopped. In 1982 it was resumed and the stoves with the initials of Liudvika Karolina and the date 1682 - were built. The fireplaces are of 3 kinds. In the basement there are the corner fireplaces. The biggest and most magnificent ones are on the first floor. During excavations it was found that in 1704 there were 14 stoves. All of them stood in the central part of the house and the right risalite - in the dwelling zone. All the stoves were heated from anteroom or other rooms. In the basement there were found tiles of 10 colour combinations. Only 3 stoves were of one colour (brown, green or black tiles). In the upper floors the stoves were many coloured, from white tiles with black eagles and many coloured wreaths around the eagles. The colour of the wreaths (blue, light blue, violet and yellow) determined the individuality of the stove colour combination. In the plans there was also shown what stove (its colour combination) stood in one or another room. Heating installation in the authentic walls was reconstructed during the process of restoration. Plans with existing and reconstructed heating installation show that it is impossible to restore the fireplaces, stove mouths and niches in the broken down walls of the house.
