LT2020 m. pradėti LLDJ statybos darbai. Dujotiekis bus tiesiamas ir per Jovaišonių bei Dubenkos kaimų laukus (Alytaus r., Alytaus sen.), kur 2020 m. vykdyti detalieji tyrimai Jovaišonių senovės gyvenvietėje. Ji lokalizuota 2020 m., kai šioje vietoje A. Kuncevičius su tyrėjų grupe ištyrė 7 1x1 m šurfus (1 pav.). Šurfuose 3–7 po dalinai nukastu armeniu daugelyje vietų fiksuotas nežymus iki 5–25 cm storio pilko–rudo smėlio su angliukais kultūrinis sluoksnis. Jis vertintinas kaip ilgalaikio arimo baigiamos sunaikinti senovės gyvenvietės kultūrinio sluoksnio apatinė dalis. Sluoksnyje aptikta pavienių lipdytos bei apžiestos keramikos šukių, smulkių degto molio tinko fragmentų ir titnago nuoskalų. [...] [p. 110-111].
ENIn late 2020 – early 2021, an excavation (29 trenches totalling 772 m²) was conducted at Jovaišonys Old Settlement (Alytus District, South Lithuania). In all of the trenches, under the layer of soil mechanically removed (from a depth of 20–25 cm), a 5–30 cm thick cultural layer of grey earth, disturbed by deep ploughing in the second half of the 20th-century (one time?) was recorded. This layer is homogeneous, no separate horizons being distinguishable. Based on the incidence of the finds, it is not possible to distinguish the old settlement’s various habitation periods. The light yellow sand, light sandy loam, and gravel sterile soil begins at a depth of 30–65 cm from the former ground’s surface. 24 objects were discovered in the sterile soil, mostly stains with several pits and fire sites, from which two carbon samples were taken for radiocarbon testing. The calibrated dates: 771 889 ad and 771–893 ad were obtained. The investigation yielded 474 archaeological finds, mostly sherds of hand built (with rough and smooth surfaces), partly thrown, and thrown pottery together with 10 Mesolithic flint finds, i.e. flakes and cores.
