Slabados akmens amžiaus gyvenvietė

LT2020 m. pavasarį ir rudenį LLDJ žvalgymų metu aptikta ir KPIP tyrinėta Slabados akmens amžiaus gyvenvietė (Prienų r., Jiezno sen.). Ji įkurta nedidelės Valiūniškių ežervietės PR pakrantėje, jos žemutinėje dalyje. Titnago radinių paplitimo zonoje gyvenvietės paviršius Š pusėje beveik lygus, P pusėje nežymiai nuolaidėja ežero link. Šiuo metu tai ariamo molingo lauko pakraštys ties drėgna ir uždurpėjusia ežervietės pakrante, kuri virš Valiūniškių ežero vandens lygio iškilusi apie 1,2–3 m (Habs 92,40– 94,00 m). Pavieniai titnago radiniai iš Valiūniškių ežervietės R pakrantės žinomi jau nuo 1987 m. (rado E. Šatavičius). 1996–2001 m. šią teritoriją dar keletą kartų žvalgė KšM. 2015–2016 m. sandūroje dar kartą žvalgant būsimo LLDJ trasą, pavienių titnago radinių rasta į R nuo jos (ATL 2015 metais, 2016, p. 458–465). ENIn 2020, the KPIP discovered and investigated Slabada Stone Age Settlement (Prienai District) on the GIPL route. Four test pits and a trench totalling roughly 25.75 m2 were excavated in the settlement’s territory. The settlement’s cultural layer consists of the red clay layer’s 10–30 cm thick upper part, which contains flint finds. In addition, in excavating the test pits and trench, 2 large objects with abundant flint finds and 2 smaller objects without any were found and excavated. Test pit 4 and the trench yielded 290 flint finds: 219 flakes, 36 blades, 9 special purpose artefacts, 13 scrapers, 5 cores and core fragments, 4 burins, 2 pieces of raw flint, and 2 artefact fragments. In addition, a roughly 13 cm long, oblong and slightly oblate ground stone bar was discovered at the bottom of stain 2, the largest one. Based on the C14 dating results, the settlement should be ascribed to the second half of the Early Neolithic. It occupies a roughly 150x50 m strip on the former shore of a lake site.
