Povandeniniai žvalgymai Pietų ir Rytų Lietuvoje

LTNuo 1998 m. ieškoma povandeninių archeologinių objektų Lietuvos vidaus vandenyse. Išžvalgyta daugiau nei 80 ežerų, upių atkarpų. 2021 m. mokslinio archeologinių objektų pažinimo tikslais vykdyta naujų povandeninių archeologinių objektų paieška ir pirminis inventorizavimas Ignalinos, Lazdijų ir Švenčionių rajonų vidaus vandens telkiniuose: Baluošo (Ignalinos r.), Snaigyno (Lazdijų r.), Bėlio, Bėlaičio, Sėtikio ežeruose ir Žeimenos upėje (Švenčionių r.). Žvalgymai vyko vidaus vandenų telkiniuose, tikrinant vietos gyventojų ir narų pateiktą informaciją apie galimus kultūros paveldo objektus po vandeniu. Dalis tyrimų vyko Švenčionių verslo ir turizmo informacijos centro projekto „Bėlio, Bėlaičio ir Sėtikio ežerų mikroregiono tyrimai ir pritaikymas kultūriniam turizmui“ rėmuose. [...] [p. 587-588].

ENIn 2021, a search was conducted for new underwater archaeological objects with the aim of recognising them scientifically and the first inventory in the following interior bodies of waters was made: Lakes Snaigynas (Lazdijai District), Bėlys, Bėlaitis, Sėtikis (Švenčionys District), and Baluošas (Ignalina District) and the River Žeimena (Švenčionys District). Logboat no. 1 (4.49 m long, 0.5–0.6 m wide) with 2 partitions and a handle was identified at a depth of 8 m near the W shore of an island in Lake Snaigynas (Lazdijai District). Two logboat parts: a stabiliser attached on the side and part of a boat body as well as wooden structures: long logs with signs of having been worked, were recorded on the N shore of Lake Bėlys (Švenčionys District). Wooden piles driven into its island’s slope were recorded at a depth of 1–3 m in the surveyed area around the island. Sherds of handbuilt household pottery, charred stones, and charcoal were also found in this area. It is thought that a lake settlement, dating to the Early Metal Age based on the ceramics, could have existed on this island. Several fishing stakes were identified in the N and E parts of Lake Bėlaitis (Švenčionys District). Fishing stake sites were also discovered on the S and W shores of Lake Sėtikis (Švenčionys District), a 17th–18th-century pot with a handle on the N shore, and the remains of bridge piles at the mouth of the Stream Žeimenėlė on its NE shore. Sherds of 17th–19th-century household pottery and vessel pieces were found at a depth of 1–2 m in the River Žeimena near Liūlinė (Švenčionys District). Three 18th–20th-century ceramic pots connected with villages founded on the lake’s shores were discovered at a depth of 7 m in Lake Baluošas (Ignalina District) near Trainiškis village.
