Dominikonų, Vilniaus ir Vokiečių gatvės

LT2021 m. Dominikonų, Vilniaus ir Vokiečių gatvėse vykdytų tyrimų metu detaliai ištirtas 108 m2 ir žvalgytas 3020,97 m2 plotas. Istoriografijoje ne kartą minima, kad Vokiečių gatvės rajono apgyvendinimas ir pirminis urbanizacijos procesas prasidėjo XIV a. Žinoma, kad nuo XVI a. 2 dešimtmečio dabartinės Vokiečių gatvės V dalyje ėmė kurtis žymūs privilegijuoto luomo atstovai: Goštautai, Vilniaus burmistras Morštynas ir Rudomina, Hozijai ir kiti. Vėliau čia valdų įsigijo Bžostovskiai, Glebavičiai, Pociejai, Tyzenhauzai, Vitinhofai, Voinos. Įsikūrus šioms garsioms ir įtakingoms politinėms asmenybėms, formavosi kitokia sklypų struktūra: retesnis nei eilinių miestiečių sklypų užstatymas, sodybinio tipo planas (Valionienė O., Viduramžių Vilnius. ENIn 2021, archaeologists excavated 108 m2 and surveyed a 3020.97 m2 area in Dominikonų Str., Vilniaus Str., and Vokiečių Str. Trench 1 revealed a basement built in the 16th or the early 17th century. The basement was slightly altered in later times, as evidenced by a window that was partially bricked up in the 18th century, and newly built or renovated stairs from the late 19th or the early 20th century. Finds suggest that the basement was filled in in the mid-20th century. Nineteen partial masonry structures were identified during the survey of newly dug and re-emptied old utility trenches and ditches. The earliest of these structures date from the 16th to the first half the 17th century, and the latest from the end of 19th to the first half of the 20th century. Nearly all structures were damaged by the construction of utility tunnels in the second half of the 20th century.
