Senamiesčio gatvė 38

LTPanevėžio miesto istorinėje dalyje, Senamiesčio g. 38 sklype (2327 m2) numatyta statyti gyvenamosios paskirties pastatus, jų aplinkoje įrengti infrastruktūrą. 2021 m. liepos–rugpjūčio mėnesiais atlikti žvalgomieji ir detalieji tyrimai bei žvalgymai. Bendrai archeologinių tyrimų metu ištirti 8 šurfai ir 1 perkasa – iš viso 45 m2 plotas. Žvalgymų metu bendrai išžvalgytas 210 m2 plotas. Tyrimų vieta yra Nevėžio upės dešiniajame krante, ji apima viršutinę ir apatinę Nevėžio upės terasų dalis. [...] [p. 388-389].

ENA field survey (210 m2), evaluation (8 test pits), and excavation (1 trench, the pits and trench totalling 45 m2) were conducted at Senamiesčio St. 38 in the historic part of the Panevėžys. Test Pits 1, 3, and 6–8 revealed a 22–50 cm thick, 19th – first half of the 20th-century cultural layer, Test Pit 5 an upper 33 cm thick, 18th–19th-century cultural layer and a lower, 20–33 cm thick, 16th–17th-century cultural layer, Test Pits 6–8 a lower, 0.6–1.1 m thick, 16th–18th-century cultural layer horizon containing finds, and Trench 1 an upper, 50 cm thick, 18th–19th-century cultural layer horizon and a lower, 20–90 cm thick, 16th–18th-century cultural layer horizon. Sterile soil was identified at a depth of 0.35–1.9 m in the test pits and at a depth of 0.75–2.03 m in Trench 1. The test pits and trench yielded a total of 201 finds: sherds of 16th–19th-century ceramic vessels, stove tile fragments, coins, buttons, a whetstone, and glass vessels and vessel fragments, the survey 7 finds: a fitting, 18th–19th-century coins, buttons, and a strap loop.
