Gluosnių gatvė 1 ir 11

LTSklypuose Gluosnių g. 1 ir 11 numatyta įgyvendinti gyvenamųjų namų su komercinėmis patalpomis komplekso „Bastionų namai“ projektą. Sklypai priklauso Klaipėdos senojo miesto vietos su priemiesčiais (UK 27077), Klaipėdos senamiesčio (UK 16075) bei bastionų komplekso (UK 10457) teritorijai. Pelenynas – istorinis Klaipėdos (Mėmelio) miesto priemiestis į R nuo Jono kalnelio, istoriniuose šaltiniuose minimas jau nuo XVII a. II pusės. Vystantis pramonei, XVIII a. II pusėje mieste pradėti kurti fabrikai. 1771 m. prie Dangės upės, už miesto gynybinių įtvirtinimų, įsteigtas potašo fabrikas. Jame buvo perdirbami iš Lietuvos ir Lenkijos suvežti pelenai stiklo gamybai, darytas potašas eksportui. XVIII a. priemiestis imtas vadinti Pelenynu. Priemiestis sudegė 1854 m. per didįjį miesto gaisrą, bet Pelenyno pavadinimas išliko iki pat XX a. vidurio (Tatoris J., Senoji Klaipėda: urbanistinė raida ir architektūra iki 1939 metų. ENThe initial stage (three 2x2 test pits totalling 12 m2) of the investigation at Gluosnių St. 1 and 11 in a suburb of Klaipėda Old Town yielded an 18th-century cultural layer with contemporary finds at the depth of roughly 80 cm in Test Pit 1 but no archaeologically valuable layers or structures in Test Pits 2–3. The second stage yielded Masonry Structures 1–3, Pavement Fragments 1–4, and a cultural layer. Masonry Structure 2 and Pavement Fragment 1, based on the finds, date to the second half of the 19th – first half of the 20th century. The cultural layer discovered in four different areas during this stage dates to the 16th(?)–18th centuries. The third stage (17 test pits from 1x2 m to 2x2 m in size, totalling roughly 56 m2) revealed an 18th–19th-century archaeological cultural layer in just Test Pits 4–6, but only mixed and archaeologically worthless 19th–20th-century layers in the rest. Based on the investigation results, the cultural layer in this entire area has survived fragmentally, having been mixed in many places during earlier earthwork. In all, 204 16th (?)–19th-century finds were catalogued, mainly sherds of household pottery and glass shards.
