Trakų pusiasalio pilis

LTTIM 2020–2021 m. tęsė Trakų pusiasalio pilies liekanų, kitų statinių komplekso pilies liekanų (UK 22719) ir aplinkos tvarkomuosius statybos bei tvarkomuosius paveldosaugos darbus. Įgyvendinant šį projektą numatyta sutvarkyti bei pritaikyti turizmo reikmėms priešpilio kampinius bokštus, sutvarkyti bokštą prie R gynybinės sienos, atlikti gynybinės sienos konservavimo darbus. Projekte taip pat numatyta nutiesti lauko keliukus, vandentiekį, elektros bei ryšio kabelius, tam tikrose vietose atlikti paviršiaus niveliavimo darbus, įrengti tiltą per gynybinį griovį, kuris jungtų pusiasalio pilies priešpilį su ŠR dalyje esančiu Aukų kalnu. Įvairiuose šio projekto įgyvendinimo etapuose, prieš vykdant žemės judinimo darbus, buvo atliekami archeologiniai tyrimai. [...] [p. 168].

ENIn 2020–2021, an excavation and field survey were conducted both in and around the outwork of Trakai Peninsula Castle. Outside it, trenches totalling 2337 m2 were excavated at the site of future footpaths, power lines, parking lots, fire hydrants, and a bridge and inside it, 19 various-sized trenches totalling 1202.15 m2 were excavated to a planned depth at the site of future footpaths, parking lots, and power line routes. It was determined that the upper cultural layer horizons in the greater part of the trenches had been disturbed by 19th–20th-century digging. The lower horizons were not reached during the investigation. The layers are rich with finds dated to the second half of the 14th–20th centuries. Late 14th-century fragments of rampart retaining walls from the outwork were discovered in Trenches 8, 17, and 19.
