Skiturių neįtvirtinta gyvenvietė II

LT2021 m. atlikti detalieji tyrimai Skiturių neįtvirtintoje gyvenvietėje II (Alytaus r., Simno sen.), kurių tikslas buvo ištirti gyvenvietės archeologinį sluoksnį ir archeologines struktūras magistralinio dujotiekio (LLDJ ) statybvietės atkarpoje. Šios neįtvirtintos gyvenvietės kultūrinis sluoksnis Skiturių kaimo aplinkoje aptiktas 2021 m. vykdant žvalgymus dujotiekio trasoje. Skiturių neįtvirtintos gyvenvietės II detaliųjų tyrimų metu ištirtas bendras 130 m² dydžio plotas (plotai 1–4). Detalieji tyrimai atlikti 22 m ilgio atkarpoje tarp piketų PK1331+85 ir PK1332+10, nedidelės kalvos PV dalyje, pakalnėje ir tarp P uždurpėjusios daubos (buvusio upelio vagos ar pelkės). ENIn 2021, an excavation (130 m2) was conducted at Skituriai Unenclosed Settlement II (Alytus District, S Lithuania), revealing a 5–30 cm thick archaeological layer or layer fragments above 11 sunken structures, which were then excavated. Based on this investigation, it was determined that the cultural layer and some of the sunken structures should be associated with the unenclosed settlement, which, based on the finds and 14C dating, existed in this area during the 11th–14th centuries. The objects with potsherds with grainy surfaces discovered in the E part of the excavated area allows for the conclusion that this area could have been inhabited or the site of certain activities in the Early Iron Age (5th–3rd centuries bc).
