Mikniškių neįtvirtinta gyvenvietė

LT2021 m. LLDJ statybos darbų metu Mikniškių kaime (Lazdijų r., Šeštokų sen.), Maišymų upelio R kranto kalvelėje aptiktas kultūrinis sluoksnis su lipdytos keramikos radiniais. Jo teritorijoje ištirti 4 šurfai (3 65x65 cm ir vienas 80x80 cm dydžio) ir nustatyta, jog 58 m ilgio ruože susidaręs iki 50 cm storio senovės gyvenvietės kultūrinis sluoksnis su lipdytos gludintos ir grublėtos keramikos dirbinių – indų fragmentais. Detaliųjų tyrimų metu čia ištirta 17 perkasų – 1 – 10x9 m, 2–9, 12–17 – 10x3 m, 10 – 10x4 m, 11 – 10x5 m dydžio. Bendras ištirtas plotas – 491 m2. [...] [p. 72-73].

ENIn 2021, 17 trenches (totalling 491 m2) were excavated at Mikniškiai Unenclosed Settlement (Lazdijai District, S Lithuania), revealing an up to 50 cm thick, grey and dark grey cultural layer containing 4911 sherds of hand-built pottery with rough, burnished, and smooth surfaces, fragments of animal bones and slag, and 51 iron, 4 stone, and 5 flint artefacts. The richest cultural layer and the greatest find concentration was discovered in trenches 3–5 and 14–15, i.e., on both sides of the hill. 12 pits and 2 drainage pipe trenches were identified in the sterile soil. Mikniškiai Unenclosed Settlement, a bog ore extraction and processing site, dates to the mid-1st century bc–3rd century.
