ENThe population dynamics and future projections of Lithuanian regions were analyzed in this research interrelating them with the development of regional economics. The possible challenges of depopulation for the regional labor markets were characterized considering the quantity and quality of regional human resource. The statistical modelling was implemented to estimate the impact of population changes on the whole economics of Lithuania.
