ENThe intermedialist literary scholar Ilma MAZRIMIENĖ looks at the paintings of Vytautas POŠKA (b. 1971) in terms of their openness, as described in Umberto Eco’s concept of an Open Work. In his work, the artist invites you to enter with your thoughts and your eyes, and be a participant in the space defined by the frame of the painting, but fully open to the possibilities of interpretation of the content, to explore the vision of a dream, to daydream, to seek answers while taking in a quiet morning landscape, to piece together narratives from fragments of life and stories, to feel the infinity of the flow of light or boundless space, to recognise the emotion conveyed through colours.
