ENThis article is an attempt at systematization of knowledge about the material culture of the Muscovite-Lithuanian borderland in the 1570s, using the case of the “list of damage” by A.I. Nogtev-Suzdalsky. The document records 26 episodes of robbery with hundreds items of clothing and weapons stolen. It allows to get an insight into the fashion of this historical period and even to deduce which colours were the most popular in men’s costume.
