Dievybės metamorfozė Thomo Manno tetralogijoje "Juozapas ir jo broliai" (Žmogaus santykio su dievu transformacijos) : disertacija

LTDisertacijos objektas – XX a. I pus. vokiečių literatūros lauke atsiradusi Thomo Manno tetralogija Juozapas ir jo broliai, kuri įsitraukia į modernizmo diskusiją, aktualizuojančią Dievo tapsmo, žmogaus bei Absoliučios Būties identiteto, šiapusybės ir anapusybės dialektikos problemas. Laikotarpio dvasiai atstovaujanti tetralogija išdėsto polemiškai polifoninį religinio santykio perspektyvų tinklą, kuriame svarstoma, kaip yra galimas žmogaus ryšys su Dievu modernizmo epochoje, Nietzsche‘s idėjų kontekste, konstatavusiame „Dievo mirtį“. Pasitelkiant Pierre‘o Bourdieu literatūros lauko ir kultūrinės pasąmonės sąvokas, Thomo Manno kūryba analizuojama to meto literatūrinės praktikos kontekste, kaip Nietzsche‘s idėjų veikiama polemika taro Dievo gyvumo ir kitokybės, iracionalumo ir racionalumo, dvasinio aristokratizmo ir masinės kultūros, santykio su Absoliutu autentiškumo ir susitikimo negalimumo, etinio santykio ir verčių paradigmų. Tyrinėjama Dievo raiška konkrečiame Thomo Manno kūrinyje, kaip meninė Absoliuto dalies reprezentacija – t.y. kaip Dievo kaukė, kuri steigia dalies ir Dievo neišreiškiamybės dichotomiją, analizuojami kaukės ir Visybės pereinamieji ryšiai kaip santykis taro dar-ne-tapusio Dievo atsivėrimo bei utopinio Išganymo horizonto, realizuojamo Eschatologijos perspektyvoje. Darbe nagrinėjama susitikimo su Dievu literatūros kūrinyje patirties problema, remiantis Dorothee‘jos Sölle‘s, Martino Buberio, Karlo Bartho, Ernesto Blocho, Dietmaro Mietho ir kitų tyrinėtojų darbais, analizuojančiais literatūros ir teologijos santykio prielaidas.

ENThe dissertation studies Thomas Mann’s tetralogy Joseph and His Brothers, which entered the modernist discussion analysing the problems of Gods becoming, the identity of a human being and the Absolute Being, as well as the dialectics of the here and the beyond. The tetralogy presents a polemically polyphonic network of the perspectives of religious relations, discussing the possibility of the human being’s relation to God in the modernist epoch, against the background of Nietzsche’s ideas. Drawing on Bourdieu’s concepts of the literature field and the cultural subconscious, the dissertation analyses Mann’s work in the context of the literary practices of those times as a polemic between the paradigms of the aliveness of God and the otherness, irrationality and rationality, spiritual aristocratism and mass culture, the authenticity of relation to the Absolute and the impossibility of encountering it, as well as the ethical relation and values. The dissertation examines God’s manifestation in a particular work by Mann as an artistic representation of a part of the Absolute, and analyses the transitory relations between the mask and the Totality as the relation between the revelation of God and the utopian horizon of Redemption, which is realised in the Eschatological perspective. On the basis of the works of Sölle, Buber, Barth, Bloch, Mieth and other thinkers who analysed the preconditions of the relation between literature and theology, this work examines the problem of the experience of meeting God in a work of literature.
