Įspūdžiai iš Salvinijos Giedrimienės retrospektyvos

LTRetrospektyvinės tekstilės parodos, pristatančios viso gyvenimo kūrybą, nedažnos Lietuvos meniniame gyvenime, nes tekstilės kūrinius nelengva surinkti iš muziejų ir viešųjų erdvių. 2019 m. tekstilininkė Salvinija Giedrimienė (g. 1948) surengė ketvirtąją personalinę parodą „Kelias", kurioje apžvelgti beveik penkių dešimtmečių kūrybiniai ieškojimai. S. Giedrimienei pasisekė, kad sovietmečiu ji beveik nekūrė interjerams (retas atvejis tarp jos amžininkų tekstilininkų) ir vertingiausius jos kūrinius 8-9 dešimtmetyje įsigijo muziejai. Taip autorės darbai buvo išsaugoti nuo sunaikinimo per vėliau vykusias sovietinės architektūros rekonstrukcijas [p. 304].

ENIn 2019 the Museum of Applied Art and Design organised the fourth solo exhibition of works by the textile artist Salvinija Giedrimienė, titled The Road - it presented a review of almost five decades of her creative discoveries. The exhibition offered visitors the chance to learn about the modernisation of Lithuanian textile through the author's work, to see how the textile field expanded its range of artistic means of expression, its transformations as the textile art context underwent change and as innovative measures started being applied. A total of 46 tapestries were exhibited, predominantly featuring works from her mature and later periods from the Lithuanian National Museum of Art and the National Museum of Lithuania, and works from the last decades that had not yet been displayed. The exhibition revealed the innovativeness of Giedrimienė's works, showing the stylistic and conceptual changes in her work over the course of time and her increasingly greater interest in religious themes.
