LTStraipsnyje analizuojami veiksniai, lemiantys besimokančiųjų adaptaciją mokymosi įstaigoje. Straipsnyje analizuojamas asmens autonomiškumas studijų procese, palengvinantis prisitaikymą naujose sąlygose, remiantis koncepcija, kad autonomija įgalina spręsti problemas, su kuriomis susiduriama naujose situacijose. Teigiama, kad adaptaciją palengvina mokymosi įstaigos personalo pasirengimas - dėstytojų kompetencija, mokymosi aplinkos, santykiai su bendramoksliais turi tiesioginės įtakos adaptacijos proceso kokybei. Straipsnyje pateikiami atlikto tyrimo duomenys teigia, kad adaptacija mokymo įstaigoje - dažnai pasitaikanti problema, kurią galima spręsti bendromis dėstytojų, studentų, šeimos pastangomis. ENThe paper analyzes the factors that determine the adaptation of learners in an educational institution. The article analyzes the personal autonomy in the process of education, which facilitates the adjustment in new conditions on the basis of the concept that autonomy enables to solve problems encountered in new situations. It is stated that adaptation is facilitated by the preparedness of personnel - teachers' competence, learning environment, relationship with peers that have a direct impact on the quality of adaptation process. The paper presents the survey data that adaptation in a training institution is a problem that can be solved by mutual teachers, students and family's efforts. The review of scientific literature and the results of the research are provided in this article. They can be used to develop the activities at higher educational institution in order to find out the demands and expectations of the students striving for the real study results which reflect the importance of language learning in the modern society. The important connections between language learning and the study quality were determined. Firstly, the citizens have to use the advantages provided by the language learning. Therefore the quality of language learning has to be guaranteed in all the stages of education. It is very important to create the language learning favourable societies and to intensify the accessibility of language learning. The findings of the research allow making a conclusion that feedback is the direct element of language learning, as it ensures the effective collaboration in the learning process, the novelty and variety of methods, together with the conformity of views of all the interested parties.Autonomy is the highest expression of person's freedom and independence. It is a freedom to think, to choose and to act. Autonomy is the individuals' right to decide and behave. At the end of the article the following issues are provided: autonomy is one of the most important individual features of person's development towards a high educated, critical thinking, able to take decisions and independent personality. Most students claim that they are autonomous. The respondents of the survey consider the studies to be the basics for their future profession. Priorities are given to the values such as: family, education, friends, love, and health. Most of respondents claim that they are able to influence their study process: to choose time for interim tasks, learning methods and forms; to decide and approve the evaluations system, including teachers' evaluation.
