Raseinių krašto istorijos muziejaus rinkinių tyrimas: lietuviška tapatybė Sibiro rankdarbiuose

LTRaseinių krašto istorijos muziejaus rinkinyje saugoma apie 100 rankdarbių, sukurtų tremtyje, lageryje, kalėjime. Jie sukurti sąlygomis, kur negalėjo būti nei įkvėpimo, nei tinkamų medžiagų ar priemonių. Tremtyje savo buitį gražindami Lietuvą primenančiomis jaukiomis smulkmenomis lietuviai įvairiai įamžindavo patiriamus jausmus, mintis. Vertinga šių rankdarbių savybė - ne meniška forma, spalvinis, ornamentinis derinys ar tobula technika, o tremtinio širdyje saugotos vertybės - tradicijos, tikėjimas ir meilė Lietuvai. ENTo break a person, a nation, or a state, first of all, their identity has to be destroyed. A prisoner s number constituted the identity of political prisoners and deportees. The collection of the Raseiniai Region History Museum stores around one hundred handicrafts created in exile, in forced labour camps, or in prisons: embroidered cushions, pictures, mats, curtains; paintings; decorative wooden boxes. Exiled Lithuanians tried to embellish their everyday lives with cosy details reminding of Lithuania and speaking of their emotions, grief, and thoughts. Some of these works were created in the conditions where there were absolutely no inspiration, proper materials or tools. The true value of the handicrafts lies not in their artistic form, the combination of colours and ornaments, or a perfect technique, but rather in the virtues nurtured in the hearts of the deportees that helped them to survive, to remain humane, and to return home.
