ENThe article examines objects belonging to the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (SPSG) and related to the history of Lithuania and Lithuania Minor. A brief introduction to the German institution as well as its collections is followed by a discussion of individual works of art, their authors and historical context. A total of 17 exhibits were found in the collections of the SPSG that are all significant for Lithuanian history and heritage studies. These are mainly paintings and graphics created in period from the seventeenth to nineteenth century. Some of them have high artistic value, while others commemorate important historical events or personalities as well as moments of everyday life and depict an urban transformation of a city. A large portion of the objects portray the history of Lithuania Minor, especially Klaipėda. This was determined by the dependency of the region on Prussia from the sixteenth to the beginning of the twentieth century as well as by a short, but noteworthy to the historical development of the city, stay of the Prussian royal fami ly in Klaipėda in the beginning of the 19th century.
