ENThis paper deals with the problems of Russian Orthodox Christians’ religious life in Latvia and Estonia in 1943–1944. In this period many refugees from Russian territories, which were occupied by Nazi Germany, were forcibly sent to Latvia and Lithuania. The clergy of Baltic Exarchate of Moscow Patriarchate, ruled by metropolitan Sergius (Voskresensky), helped these people in the last period of World War II.
