Summary / Abstract:

ENThe article analyzes the coronation project of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Vytautas with the involvement of "Annals of Poland" Jan Dlugosz. Vytautas ruled in Grand Duchy of Lithuania as a virtually independent ruler, despite the recognition and resumption of the Union of Krewo and if Vytautas became king of Lithuania, this would mean a final departure from the control of Poland. J. Dlugosz describes in detail how the poles tried to prevent this project. Another important aspect is the use of J. Dlugosz Russian-Lithuanian Chronicles. Traditionally it is considered, that J. Dlugosz used only to the Russian Chronicles of the XIII century. Analysis of the narrative of the XIV-XVth centuries shows that the use of Russian-Lithuanian Chronicles can be traced by the material of 1430-1430-ies.
