Lietuvos tautinės apsaugos "Geležinis vilkas" Kauno grupės veiklos bruožai 1927-1930 m.

LTStraipsnyje apžvelgiama Lietuvos tautinės apsaugos "Geležinis vilkas" veikla 1927-1930 metais. Pagrindinis dėmesys sutelkiamas į šios organizacijos Kauno grupę, nušviečiant jos vykdytą opozicinių organizacijų, valstybinių institucijų tarnautojų sekimą bei tautininkiškų organizacijų ir lojalaus tautininkams biurokratinio aparato formavimą. Remiantis iki šiol mokslinėje apyvartoje menkai sistemiškai panaudota archyvine medžiaga, atskleidžiamos A. Smetonos ir A. Voldemaro poperversminio režimo pastangos įsitvirtinti valdžioje. ENThis article analyses the history and activities of the semi-clandestine, government controlled radical right-wing organisation Lithuanian National Defence "Iron Wolf" during the period from 1927 to 1930. The main focus falls on its central - Kaunas - group, firstly looking at its organisation and growth, then at its engagement in surveillance and combat against the political opponents of the post-coup regime. At the same time, the investigation explores the "Iron Wolf’s" clandestine promotion, support and control of the nationalist (tautininkai) organisations, and also inspects attempts to purge state bureaucracy, especially the pedagogic staff, of disloyal, corrupt or otherwise unwanted elements. One of the conclusions states that "Iron Wolf" was instrumental in laying the foundations of the Smetona regime of the 1930s, despite the fact that the organisation itself was closed and banned in May 1930.
