Summary / Abstract:
ENThe article deals with relationship between the Dutchy of Polotsk and Lithuania during the 13th century according to the German chronicles and Polotsk written sources which were created during that century. On the basis of the analysis of mentioned above sources evolution of such relationship before and after Kievan Rus` fall is shown. The reasons of this development and differences in their relationship are analyzed.
